Overview:
STOP is a professional traffic control company dedicated to keeping traffic safe during road work. As a traffic control coordinator, your main duty is to keep your designated area safe and free of traffic congestion. You will be expected to use your experience and training to work as part of a team to help control traffic and perform lane closures. As the team leader, you must display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, clients, and the general public at all times. You will work with management to create a safe and efficient team environment.
As a Traffic Control Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
· Reporting to work at the designated start time, all projects are time sensitive
· Evaluating traffic patterns to determine the best control needs
· Working and communicating with crew members so that they understand which traffic control setup needs to be done and that all members understand their individual role to eliminate confusion and ensure job is done safely, properly, and efficiently
· Implementing traffic control through the use of signs, cones, and other traffic control devices
· Maintaining a safe environment for pedestrians and vehicles
· Coordinating traffic flow in construction areas
· Communicating with clients and ensuring all paper work is completed on-site
· Assist with the ongoing work at the jobsite when necessary
Your Daily responsibilities will include:

· Properly follow all company policies and ensure team members are also complying
· Checking that all TMA’s are loaded with the proper traffic control devices needed for that job before leaving for the jobsite
· Ensuring all TMA’s and Arrow boards are working properly at the beginning and end of each shift
· Reporting any vehicle maintenance or repair along with filling out all proper forms
· Filling out detailed daily timesheets, along with vehicle and radio log books
· Ensuring team members return all equipment and vehicle pouches at the end of each shift, and that all their paperwork is completed
· Ensuring team members have all personal protection gear needed before leaving for job site
· Perform other work related duties as assigned, including shop work which may include general maintenance and inventory
